भाग लो नहीं भागलो मंत्र बनालो अब।
          आपदा-असुर असुरक्षित हो ही जायें सब।।
विकास-पथ पग चूमे झूम-झूम कब।
           विकल्प परिश्रम का सतत बना रहे जब।।3।।
घर भीतर-बाहर दस दिश हैं ताम-झाम।
            पग-पग पल-पल हैं उलझे हो बस काम।।

     आज- कल की बेतहाशा भाग-दौड़ की जिन्दगी में शास्त्र- सम्मत मुख्य बिन्दु जिन्हें हम ध्यान रखें और अपनी यात्रा को सफल बनायें ।

शुभ तिथि :-

    दोनों पक्षों अर्थात शुक्ल पक्ष और कृष्ण पक्ष की 2 -3 -5 -7 -10-11 -13  शुभ ,  केवल कृष्णपक्ष की प्रतिपदा शुभ और  शुक्ल पक्ष की पूर्णिमा शुभ  , किन्तु इनमें भद्रा त्याज्य है । 

दोनों पक्षों की 4,9,14 और अमावस्या यात्रा में पूर्णतः वर्जित हैं।

शुभ नक्षत्र :-

   अश्विनी , मुर्गशिरा , पुनवर्सु , पुष्य , हस्त , अनुराधा , श्रवण , धनिष्ठा और रेवती । 
मध्यम नक्षत्र :-

       घर के बहार निकलते  समय  अर्थी, नाचती महिला, पूजा की थाली लिए कन्या,  हँसता  पागल ,दही-शक्कर,  गाय,  कलश,  हाथी, सिंह, तिलक धारी ब्रहामण और सौभाग्यवती स्त्री  का दिखना शुभ है ।

अप शकुन;- 

         घर से बहार निकलते समय खाली घड़ा, नपुंसक , शोकयुक्त रोता हुआ कुत्ता, घायल गाय ,कराहता सिंह, रास्ता काटती बिली, छींक का आना और रेंगता हुआ सर्प दिखाई पड़े तो अपशुगन माना  जाता है ।लेकिन मान्यता है कि ऐसी स्थिति में थोड़ा रुक कर यात्रा पर आगे बढ़ने से  यात्रा सफल हो जाती है।

यात्रा दोष परिहार:-

   पहली मान्यता है कि  मंगलवार को गुड़, बुधवार को धनिया,राई या तिल,गुरुवार को दही या मिठाई, शुक्रवार को जौ या दही, शनिवार को तिल, खिचड़ी या उड़द,रविवार को दलिया, शक्कर या घी ,सोमवार को खीर खाकर या दर्पण के सामने तिलक करके यात्रा शुरू करने से वार दोष दूर हो जाते हैं।

       दूसरी मान्यता है कि जहाँ हम नित्य जाना-आना करते हैं वहाँ यात्रा,यात्रा नियमों से मुक्त रहती है।जब यात्रा करने वाले का मन प्रसन्न हो,वातावरण आनन्दमय हो तब यात्रा आनन्दप्रद होती है।
