What is Material Noun?
"Substance from which things are made"
विशेष (1):-एक शब्द कहीं Material तो कही Common Noun की तरह प्रयुक्त होते है
Fish live in water. Common Noun
Fish is good for food. Material Noun
इसी कारण अनेक grammarians इसे Common Noun के अन्तर्गत ही मानते हैं.
सामान्यतः यह uncountable होता है.
यह liquid, semi-liquid और solide रुप मे होता है. ठोस, द्रव और गैस .
Some example
Nature:- water, air, silver, gold, iron, sand.
Animals:-egg, meat, honey, milk, silk,
Plants:-cotton, wood, coffee, tea, oil,
Man Made:-acid, brick, cement, ghee
(2) जब Material Nouns uncountable होते हैं तब articles का प्रयोग नहीं होता.
(3)जब ये countable होगें तब article आ सकते हैं. Example:-It is a very healthy wine.
(4) इस प्रकार से the और some का प्रयोग इनके साथ होता हैं
The honey in the bottle is mine.
I saw there is some milk in the glass.
(5)वाक्य के शुरु में प्रथम letter capital अन्यथा हमेशा small में लिखा जाता है.
