RULE:- It is singular pronoun.It is used for a lifeless noun.

The road is wide.It is muddy.
छोटे-छोटे जीव-जन्तु, कीड़े-मकोड़े तथा पेड़-पौधे के लिए भी it आता है औऱ it का बहुवचन they होता है।
There is a mango tree in front of my house.It is in blossom.
Special uses of "it"
1.छोटे बच्चे के लिए
She had a baby in her arms.It was crying.
2.किसी पुरुष के लिंग की जानकारी नहीं हो तो
Who is it at the door?
3. मनुष्यवाची संज्ञा पर जोर देने हेतु
Hallo! It is you.
It is me.
4.जिस वाक्य में ना से युक्त कोई क्रिया
वाक्य का कर्ता हो तो वह वाक्य it से शुरू होता है और उस क्रिया से पहले to का प्रयोग करते हैं।
It is difficult to run in the sun.
It is easy to promise but difficult to fulfil.
4.दिन की भिन्न-भिन्न घड़ियों, महीनों, बर्ष,ऋतुओं, दिनों तथा मौसम आदि के नाम को सूचित करने वाले वाक्यों को it से शुरू करते हैं अर्थात इनके लिए it का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
A.It is morning.
B. It was a dark night.
C.It is March.
D. It was spring.
E.It was 10 O'clock.
F.It was 2nd October.
G.It was 2019.
5.प्राकृतिक घटनाओं वाले वाक्यों को शुरू करने के लिए it का प्रयोग अर्थात इनके लिए it आता है।
A. It is raining.
B.It snowed last night.
मूसलाधार वर्षा हुई थी।
C.It poured down.

अंग्रेजी में तिथि लिखने के कई तरीके होते हैं जैसे:-
A.1st February,1996.
B.1 February,1996.
C. February 1st,1996.
D.01.01.1996.
E.01.01.96
लेकिन पढ़ते एक हैं जैसे:-
